Soup during the meal?

  • In Thailand, soup is sometimes a snack and sometimes lunch, when accompanied by a bowl of rice. In the evening it is not served as a starter, but is simply part of a meal, along with other dishes. The Thai like to take the time to eat small amounts of everything. The Thai passion for fresh herbs, like the mix of sweet, sour, warm, bitter and salty flavors, is best reflected in soup. At first sight a simple dish. Take for example tom kha gai, coconut soup with chicken. A fantastic range of flavors are perfectly balanced in a delicious bowl of soup.
  • Soep als medicijn?
